Education & Training
Human resource development stands high on the agenda of governments. The goal is to strengthen national creative industries.
Our services include lectures, training courses and writing learning materials.
Lectures
We regularly lecture at conferences and meetings in the Nordic countries and worldwide. The yearly Masters Program in European IP Law at Stockholm University keeps us in touch with the younger generation.
Training Courses
Longer Training Courses give us a possibility to get to know participants and follow their work over a period of six months. Many participants keep us updated with developments in their countries over time. Nordic organizers, the Swedish Patent and Registration Office (PRV) and NORCODE in Norway co-operate with WIPO in organizing the courses.
Learning Materials
Hands-on training materials and manuals are needed when people return to their respective countries and start operations. The IFRRO Manual “Collective Management of Copyright – How Reproduction Rights Organisations (RROs) Function” is an example of a widely used training kit. It was drafted by a competent team under the leadership of Tarja Koskinen-Olsson.
